Routers, plasma, laser and waterjet

Sell your CNC router, plasma or laser table

Nested-based and ATC routers from cabinet shops, plasma tables from fab shops, fibre lasers and waterjets. Table, gantry and the gear that runs with it, as long as the machine is over 1 ton.

Picking up across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky, from Squamish and Pemberton down to Chilliwack.

Min1 ton

1 ton is 2,000 lb, about 907 kg. Benchtop mills, desktop routers and hobby lasers usually come in lighter, so we can't take them. Not sure about yours? Here's how to check.

Machines we buy

Routers, cutting tables and waterjets we take

Big flat-bed machines come out of cabinet shops, sign shops, fabricators and plastics shops all over the region. These are the ones we buy.

Cut wood panels stacked on a CNC router bed
Nested-based routers from cabinet and millwork shops.
Industrial fibre laser cutting a steel sheet
Fibre laser cutters, with the source and chiller.
Large gantry cutting table in a fabrication shop
Big plasma and cutting tables, planned around the table size.

Nested-based routers

The cabinet and millwork shop standard, with a vacuum table and an automatic tool changer.

ATC and 5-axis routers

Moving-gantry routers with tool changers, aggregate heads or a full 5-axis head.

Plasma tables

Water tables and downdraft tables, with the power source and torch height control.

Fibre laser cutters

Flatbed fibre lasers with the source, the chiller and any shuttle or pallet table.

Waterjets

The cutting table, the intensifier pump and the abrasive feed system as one sale.

Industrial CO2 cutters

Large flatbed CO2 lasers over 1 ton. Desktop engravers are too light for us.

Photos

Photos that help us price a table machine

Table machines have a lot of separate pieces, so a few extra photos help us see the whole setup.

  • The whole machine from one end, so we can see the table length
  • The controller switched on, or the control PC if it runs from one
  • The machine nameplate and the nameplate on the power source, laser source or pump
  • The spindle or cutting head, plus the tool changer on a router
  • Everything that runs with it: vacuum pump, dust collector, chiller, fume extractor
  • The table surface, so we can see the spoilboard, slats or water table

Before pickup

Getting a table machine ready to move

Gantry machines are wide rather than tall, and they often come apart. Plan the prep with that in mind.

  1. Park the gantry and the head where the manual says to, and fit the shipping locks if you have them.

  2. Have your electrician disconnect the machine and every unit wired to it.

  3. Drain a plasma water table and scoop out the slag. On a waterjet, drain the tank and dig out the abrasive sludge.

  4. Drain the chiller on a laser, and disconnect the vacuum hoses and dust ducting on a router.

  5. Turn off and disconnect the air supply, and clear a path wide enough for the table to come out.

Table size

Tell us the size and what runs with it

Give us the cutting area, like 4x8 or 5x10, and the overall footprint. Bigger tables often split into the table, the gantry and the electrical cabinet, and we plan the load around that.

The vacuum pump, dust collector, chiller, fume extractor and intensifier pump all count toward the quote. Tell us which ones are part of the sale.

Where we pick up

Table machines from shops across the region

We pick up from cabinet and millwork shops in Surrey, Langley and Abbotsford, fab shops in Port Kells, Delta and Mission, sign shops around Vancouver and Burnaby, and businesses in the Sea-to-Sky from Squamish to Pemberton.

Questions

Questions about selling a router, plasma or laser table

Do you take the vacuum pump and dust collector?

Yes, with the router. List everything you're including when you send the details. Each piece changes the quote and how we load the trailer.

The plasma water table is full of slag. Does it need cleaning out?

It needs to be drained, and the worst of the slag scooped out, before pickup. A full water table is far heavier than the machine's listed weight and can't be moved safely.

Is a 4x4 hobby router big enough for you?

Usually not. Most hobby and small sign-shop routers come in under 1 ton. Send us the model and we'll tell you straight away.

Do you buy CO2 lasers?

Industrial flatbed CO2 cutters, yes, when they're over 1 ton. Desktop engravers and small CO2 lasers are too light for us.

What size table can you take?

Give us the cutting area (5x10, 4x8 and so on) and the overall footprint. Larger tables often come apart into the table, the gantry and the electrical cabinet, and we plan the move around that.

Got a router, plasma or laser table to sell?

Call with the make, the table size and what runs with it, and we'll take it from there.
